Teaching Preparation

The teaching practicum was conducted by me also has preparation. There are some steps which I did while the teaching practicum, such as preparing lesson plan, consult the lesson plan, then revise the lesson plan, preparing the teaching media, and also practice the scenario.
First of all, in preparing lesson plan, I need to take a look on the for the example that my supervisor sent for me. I read the lesson plan given and I try to make my lesson plan based on the topic that I got. At the fist trying, I felt so confused because the lesson plan is different from the lesson plan that I got. So, I need to adjust the lesson that I learned before.
Second is consulting the lesson plan. After finishing the draft, I need to consult my lesson plan with my supervisor. There are a lot things that I have to revise, such as the activity, the material and the teaching style. For the activity, I need to make the students more attractive by conducting the games with group  work or pair work. For the material, I need to revise by finding the other example of vocabulary which can be accepted by the students. Then, my teaching style also need to be improved. For example, I have to use the simplest word in order to make the students understand and accept the words easily.
After receiving a lot of comments and suggestions from my supervisor, I revised my lesson plan based on the guidance. I was thinking that my previous lesson plan was not good enough, but after receiving some comments and suggestions, I realized that I need to improve more in preparing the activity for my lesson plan.
Fourth is preparing the teaching media. In conducting the teaching, a teacher also needs media to support the learning process. Then, it also helps the students are easier to understand the material. There are some medias which I used to help me in teaching, such as songs, pictures and videos. It helps me so much to explain the material for the students because they need the real example of the material given.
After preparing all the stuff that I need to teach, I also practiced before my teaching demo. I practiced it with my friends. It helps me to speak confidently and fluently for the next teaching demo. My friends were also give comments and suggestion for my teaching in order to make me more confident.
